Williamsport

3 October 2022

Message from the Dean

We have just finished celebrating 75 years of our chapter’s existence! The past year of 2021-2022 was again very rewarding and informative having: recitals with and without a choir, workshop on the authenticity of hymn singing, an international Netherlands day with food and organ music, AGO organ Fest highlights, and Review of the AGO book ” Employing Musicians in Religious Institutions”, to name a few. We continued our May 21st Meeting in Wellsboro, PA where an organ crawl and performance by Marian Miller took place at First Presbyterian Church and an organ demonstration was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

The year 2022-2023 promises to be another exciting, informative, and joyful year as well. Programs will include music performed about hymnology, our third community Christmas at the Organ, music composed by well-known composers, organs and culture about Estonia, and demonstrations on a variety of pipe organs within the Williamsport chapter area.

Please feel free to email us for any program information. We will be glad to be of assistance.

All area musicians are welcome.
