Welcome to the New London County Chapter AGO Webpage

Our chapter was founded in 1949, with Beatrice Hatton Fisk at the helm as the first Dean. We will celebrate our 75th Anniversary in 2024!

Dean’s Message

Happy New Year! A few calendar notes for your consideration. As we approach Epiphany, a warm invitation from Matthew Provost:

Friends, you are cordially invited to join us at Calvary Church in Stonington on January 6 at 7PM as we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus Christ and also the 5th anniversary of the dedication of our Richards, Fowkes & Co. pipe organ, Opus XXIII with a special Vespers Service of Light. There will be hymn singing, works for choir & organ, and lots of solo organ repertoire. I sincerely hope you can attend. It would be wonderful to see you again here in Stonington.
Cheers, Matthew

REMINDER! We are invited to join the Annual MLK Jr. Day Organ Crawl, hosted by the Waterbury Chapter. Susan Paisley will act as our local point of contact for car-pooling and a head-count for lunch.

Going forward, we do need to hear from members about our programs so that we don’t use up resources and volunteer time unnecessarily. Did you know that in 2024 our chapter celebrates its 75th birthday?? We are already planning for next year, so please do reach out!

For now, very best wishes to you and yours for 2023!

Kathy Cooper, Dean, New London County Chapter AGO, on behalf of the entire Executive Board

The New London chapter welcomes church musicians regardless of education or ability.

We welcome new members!

More information about regular membership can be found here: https://www.agohq.org/membership/membership-overview/

Those who are not practicing musicians can join as a Chapter Friend. Chapter Friends pay a small annual dues; they receive chapter communications and are invited to participate in all chapter events, but they do not receive The American Organist journal and do not have the opportunity to be listed in the chapter substitute directory.
