Message from the Dean

Welcome to our chapter website! Our chapter serves organists, choir directors, and organ enthusiasts in Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, Marshall, Coldwater, Schoolcraft, Centreville, Three Rivers, Sturgis, St. Joseph, Berrien Springs, South Haven, Paw Paw, Mattawan, and Richland.

Deanly Paragraphs
I trust that the new school/church year is beginning well for you. Although the summer break was most welcome and needed–I still shiver thinking about last winder–I always enjoy the first rehearsal of my choirs. It is a reminder to me of the importance of the music ministry in which many faithful volunteers contribute, as well as an incentive for the future.

For a variety of circumstances, both our membership renewal ritual and our program year planning have encountered special challenges this year.

Our first gathering is to be held at First Presbyterian, Kalamazoo, on Monday, September 22. [NB. reservations are needed to be made with Steve Liebermann by Friday Sept. 19.]

If you have not renewed your membership and are somewhat computer challenged by the changeover to online registration, we are happy to offer face-to-face assistance at this meeting. Do remember to come prepared to take advantage of this opportunity. Bring your completed yellow worksheets you received in the mail. Bring your credit card or checkbook.

Our new subdean, Dr. Al Bolitho, is in the midst of planning a most interesting variety of events for our program year. I hope you will find the current outline to be tantalizing. It would be my pleasure to see and talk to you on September 22 as well as at future meetings as they occur. –Mark Wells Let us rejoice and be glad!
