Welcome to our web site. We are a small chapter, but offer fun and informative programs during the school year. If you are interested in church music we encourage you to join us.

All regular AGO programs are marked with an *, and meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted.

*August 23, 7:30 pm, Mary Ann Buhler’s home — Reports on regional convention and other organ activities

August 24, 7:30 pm, KSU All Faiths Chapel — Dr. David Pickering Faculty Recital

*September 28, 7:30, KSU All Faiths Chapel —  Documentary film produced by KSU School of Journalism and David Pickering on the history of the AFC Austin Organ. Also performances by K-State organ students, David Pickering, and Dr. Jan Kraybill.

October 14, 3:00 pm, Grace Cathedral, Topeka — Marilyn Kaiser recital.

*October 25, 7:30 pm, home of Mary Ellen Sutton, 1624 Plymouth Rd. — All invited to share new and/or favorite music on her two-manual Rodgers organ

October 28, 2:30 pm, First Presbyterian Church, 817 SW Harrison St., Topeka — Topeka AGO is hosting a recital by Brian Mathias, Mormon Tabernacle organist.

November 4, 3:00 pm, First United Methodist Church, 612 Poyntz Ave. — Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest, performed by Flint Hills Masterworks Chorale.

*November 29, 7:30 pm, Bob Edwards’ home, 2342 Chris Dr. — Romantic organ music

December 12, 7:30 pm, First United Methodist Church — Flint Hills Masterworks Chorale Christmas concert.

*January 24, 7:30 pm, First Lutheran Church, 930 Poyntz Ave., Room 28 — DVD on The Life and Works of Jean Langlais (1907-1991). The DVD is hosted by Dr. Ann Labounsky, student of Langlais and author of a book about him.

*February 17 (Sunday), 4:00 pm, 1st United Methodist Church — Member’s Recital

*March 28, Postponed until Fall 2019.

April 17 (Wednesday), 7:30 pm, All Faiths Chapel – organ recital by Dr. Phillip Todd Westgate, who is on the faculty at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky

*April 25, 7:30 pm, venue TBA — Recital by Organ Students of David Pickering

*May 23 — TBA
