Welcome to our web site. We are a small chapter, but offer fun and informative programs during the school year. If you are interested in church music we encourage you to join us.
Sunday, September 13, 4:00 p.m.—Recital by Jan Kraybill — First Presbyterian Church.
Tuesday, October 20, 7:30 p.m.— Chapter members are invited to hear Bob Edwards’ extensive organ recordings. — Bob’s home at 2342 Chris Drive. This listening session will concentrate on both historic and modern instruments and feature works and compositions that were written for them.
Friday, October 23, 7:30 p.m. — Brett Wolgast Organ Recital — All Faiths Chapel, KSU.
Joan Shull will be sponsoring Brett Wolgast in recital at Kansas State University. Brett, one of Mary Ellen Sutton’s former students, won the American Guild of Organists National Young Artist Competition in 1982. He is currently Assistant Professor of Music at Coe College and Cantor at First Lutheran Church, both of which are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Sunday, November 15, 3:00 p.m.— Inaugural concert of the renovated Reuter organ at First United Methodist Church in Manhattan. Presented by Dan Myers and other First United Methodist musicians.
Sunday, January 31, 2016, 3:00 p.m.– Annual AGO members’ recital — First United Methodist Church, Manhattan.
Monday, February 22, 7:30 p.m.– Mary Ellen Sutton will give a presentation on American Gospel Hymn Writers and Composers — First Congregational Church, Manhattan.
Tuesday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.– Bob and Marian Brandenburg will give a presentation on their mission trips to Zimbabwe — Ruth Ann Warren’s home, 1600 Stewart Court, Manhattan
