AGO Partnership with Church Music Institute

By action of the AGO National Council on June 11, 2019, the American Guild of Organists entered into a partnership with the Church Music Institute to provide discounted CMI membership rates for AGO members.  AGO members can have access to all Church Music Institute member benefits for less than half the cost of regular CMI membership, which include access to its online Sacred Music Library with over 18,000 choral selections and over 13,000 organ compositions.  Please log in to ONCARD and click on "Update Personal Information" to get the members-only link to join CMI. POE Advanced 2016

The 2016 POE Advanced features instruments by a wide range of builders including Casavant, E.M. Skinner, Holtkamp, Juget-Sinclair, Noack, Schantz and Wilhelm. Visiting Faculty members Christian Lane, Kimberly Marshall, Bruce Newsick, Carole Terry, and Christopher Young will perform recitals, teach workshops and classes, and offer private lessons. Cincinnati-area organists including faculty from University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music will also participate. Pipe Organ Encounter Summer 2015

The Pipe Organ Encounter (POE), an educational program of the American Guild of Organists, is an introduction to the pipe organ through instruction in organ playing, repertoire, history, design, and construction. These regional summer organ music institutes for teenage students (aged 13-18) provide private and group instruction in service playing and solo repertoire, opportunities to learn about the musical heritage of various religious denominations, and a chance for young musicians to meet others with similar interests.
