AGO Past President Charles Dodsley Walker Dies at Age 94

A Memorial Service for Charles Dodsley Walker (1920-2015) will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 3:00, at the Church of the Heavenly Rest (2 East 90th Street, New York, NY 10128). A reception immediately following the service will take place in the church. Charles Dodsley Walker, distinguished Past President of the American Guild of Organists, passed into life eternal on January 17. For many decades Charles has shared generously of his rich insight, wit, humor, and musicianship. John C. Walker Elected President of the American Guild of Organists

The American Guild of Organists (AGO), the world’s largest professional association of organists and choral conductors, as well as the largest organization on the globe dedicated to a single musical instrument, has elected John C. Walker as its president. The membership of the AGO includes approximately 17,000 organists, choral conductors, music educators, organbuilders, clergy, and aficionados.
