All individuals interested in the organ and choral music fields are invited to join the American Guild of Organists. Membership is open to everyone, regardless of denominational affiliation or musical ability.



STEP 1. Choose between a Voting Membership, Non-Voting Membership, or Chapter Friend Membership:

*Please note: Organizations must be Non-Voting Members.

VOTING MEMBER

Voting Membership is available to all organists, choral conductors, and other individuals who support the mission of the Guild. Voting membership can be with or without chapter affiliation and includes participation in all national activities, elections, eligibility for certification examinations and for all insurance plans, and a one-year subscription to THE AMERICAN ORGANIST Magazine. Membership is available at reduced rates to those age 65 or older, under 21, the disabled, and full-time students. Dual membership is available for those members who wish to be involved with more than one local chapter.

ABOUT A VOTING MEMBERSHIP

NON-VOTING MEMBER (National Subscribing Member)

Non-Voting Membership is available for individual and institutional National Subscribers to THE AMERICAN ORGANIST Magazine. No chapter affiliation, voting privileges, or other benefits are included. The one-year TAO subscription begins with the second monthly issue following receipt of payment.

CHAPTER FRIENDS

If you are not an organist, but would like to be affiliated only with a local AGO Chapter, please join as a Chapter Friend. Chapter Friends support the local Chapter, receive chapter newsletters, and participate in chapter events. Local chapters determine the rate for this category, which does not include national voting privileges, membership benefits, or a TAO subscription.

If you would like a packet of membership information sent to you please e-mail jkk@agohq.org with the subject of the e-mail: Membership Packet. Include your name and address in the body of the message. You can also call us at (212) 870-2310 and request a membership packet by phone.

VOTING MEMBERSHIP

STEP 2. Please choose from the following membership options:

A. With Chapter Affiliation:

Regular voting member $88
Special voting member (65 and over, under 21, or disabled) $64
Student voting member (full-time, with valid school ID) $36
Partner voting member (only one TAO per household)
*You must be affiliated with a Regular, Special, or Student voting member at the same household.		 $64
Dual voting member (paid to second chapter)
* You must have a Regular, Special, or Student voting membership with a primary chapter in order to be a Dual member at a secondary chapter.		 $35
Student dual member (paid to second chapter)
* You must have a Student voting membership with a primary chapter in order to be a Student dual member at a secondary chapter.		 $14

B. Without Chapter Affiliation:

       Independent Membership | Regular $88
Independent Membership | Student $36
Independent Membership | Special $64


STEP 3. If you chose from Option A. above, choose the chapter of your choice and contact the Dean for instructions on where to send the above dues.

The American Guild of Organists has a unique structure that is comprised of one National Headquarters Office in New York City and over 340 local Chapters located across the United States and internationally. Because of this unique organization, membership starts at the Chapter level and dues are filtered through the Chapter first and then on to National Headquarters for further processing. PLEASE DO NOT SEND DUES TO NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS!!

STEP 4. If you chose from Option B. above, you may register online for an Independent Membership.

If you do not wish to join online please send your Independent Membership Payment to AGO National Headquarters at 475 Riverside Dr., Suite 1260, New York, NY 10115.
