Message from the Dean |
| WELCOME!
We are pleased to announce our 2007 SUMMER ORGAN RECITAL SERIES, held at Chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel, 170 Good Counsel Drive, Mankato, MN. The series begins Wednesday, June 13th, at Noon, and there is no admission or free-will offering. The recitals run from 30-45 minutes in length, with ten total performances on consecutive Wednesdays (except for July 4th), through August 22nd! The organ is the historic Op.499 of Johnson and Son Organ Co, which the School Sisters of Notre Dame at Good Counsel have had restored by Lynn Dobson of Dobson Organ Company, Iowa City, Iowa. Our series represents a wide repertoire of early to modern literature, keeping in mind the unique qualities of this particular instrument. Sioux Trails is very grateful for the opportunity to perform, for the second year, on this wonderful historic and well-maintained instrument. The hospitality shown to us by the School Sisters is beyond generous. Hoping to see you at our series - Respectfully, Judith Kresnicka, Chapter Dean |
