Welcome to our web site. We are a small chapter, but offer fun and informative programs during the school year. If you are interested in church music we encourage you to join us.

2013-14

September 16, 7:30 p.m.—Ruth Ann Warren’s home, 1600 Stewart Court—David Pickering (KSU Study Abroad trip to Germany and Austria and AGO Regional Convention in Springfield, Missouri) and Mary Ann Buhler (AGO Regional Convention in Austin, Texas)

October 21, 7:30 p.m.—Joe Markley—First Presbyterian Church in Junction City, Joe will be speaking about how to use hymns in congregational singing and service music that is hymn-based.

November 18, 7:30 p.m.—Dan Myers— First United Methodist Church in Manhattan— program on Free Hymn Arrangements, accompanied by guest musicians

November 19, 7:30 p.m.–Kathrine Hanford — Wiedemann Hall, Wichita State University

November 24, 4:30 p.m.–Amanda Ellis, Senior Recital — College Avenue United Methodist Church

December 3, 7:30–Dr. David Pickering Organ Studio Recital — All Faiths Chapel, Kansas State University

January 13, 2014, 7:30 p.m.—All Faiths Chapel—joint recital with MAMTA

Monday, February 17, 7:30 p.m. —First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan—Sanctuary and organ case renovation

Sunday, March 2, 4:00 p.m.– Dr. David Pickering organ recital, First Presbyterian Church, Manhattan. He will perform works by Bach, Franck, Walcha, and Gawthrop

Monday, March 3, 2014, 7:30 p.m., All Faiths Chapel:  Kansas State University Keyboard Division Faculty Recital:  Featuring Amanda Arrington, Slawomir Dobrzanski, Virginia Houser, and David Pickering.

Monday, March 10, Organ crawl—First Baptist Moller, KSU Holtkamp, St. Luke’s Lutheran Reuter (time and more info forthcoming)

Tuesday, March 11, 7:30 p.m.–David Pickering organ recital, All Faiths Chapel, Kansas State University. He will perform works by Bach, Franck, Robertson, and Gawthrop

Sunday, March 30, 2014:  4:30 p.m., All Faiths Chapel:  Stephen Kucera student recital.  Stephen is a sophomore majoring in Organ Performance and Accounting and will be playing works by J.S. Bach, Peter Eben, and Louis Vierne

Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m—Jan Kraybill organ concert in All Faiths Chapel—AGO will host a small reception for Jan and invited guests

Friday, April 4, 11:30 a.m.–-1 p.m. Jan Kraybill masterclass for KSU students

Saturday, April 19, 7:30 p.m.–Cameron Carpenter at McCain Auditorium$

Saturday, April 26, 7:30 p.m.–Hymn Festival at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church presented by the KSU Organ Studio

Tuesday, May 6, 8:00 p.m.–Brett Valliant (First United Methodist, Wichita), organist, silent film accompaniment to the
film SAFETY LAST, All Faiths Chapel

Monday, May 19—Informal time at the park—snacks and drinks, TBA
