Message from the Dean
Greetings, and to all readers: Welcome to the Gainesville Chapter American Guild of Organists website. We hope that you will find useful information about our chapter’s offerings throughout the season, as well as any additional information that might be helpful in getting to know the AGO and its mission.
Also, we welcome program ideas and suggestions. The Guild’s stated mission is “enrich lives through organ and choral music.”
Feel free to pass your program ideas on to Mark Coffey, our Sub Dean and Program Chair at email@example.com.
Finally, an invitation: If you’re reading this and are not an AGO member or have let your membership lapse, do consider joining us. You need not be a professional organist. Here’s the Guild’s official statement concerning membership: “All individuals interested in the organ and choral music fields are invited to join the American Guild of Organists. Membership is open to everyone, regardless of denominational affiliation or musical ability”.
Feel free to contact our Registrar/Treasurer, Carol Christiansen, at firstname.lastname@example.org for membership information and materials.
We hope to see you at some or all of our upcoming programs.
Do come, and bring a guest. Even better, bring a potential new member!
Soli Deo Gloria!
John T Lowe, Jr., DM, CAGO
