ELECTION RESULTS FOR 2006-2007

At the banquet on Sunday, June 4, the following results were announced for our chapter elections.

Welcome to the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Guild of Organists website! We are a friendly, small-home-town-feeling chapter just across the river from Manhattan, and we are home to some excellent organs and organists. Please check out our calendar, which is full of activities, join us at one our events, and meet some friendly organists. As you can see by our pictures, we have a good time.

Also, get to know some of our churches and organs. Brooklyn is known as the "borough of churches," and we advise you to come see some of these instruments live, or via their websites--links are coming soon!

Newsletter

The Chapter Newsletter, "The Brooklyn Bombarde," is sent approximately monthly to all chapter members. The editor is Jonathan Hall, FAGO; email him at jonahall "at" alumni.indiana "dot" edu.

Each issue contains a message from the Dean, timely information about chapter events and local concerts, a substitute list, and sundry tidbits about the unique culture of Brooklyn--once six rural Dutch villages, now the largest borough of New York City.

We congratulate our member Jan-Piet Knijff, who has just earned the AAGO certificate, along with the Associateship Prize and the S. Lewis Elmer Prize for the highest scores in the nation in this year's exams.
