Registration for ChicAGO 2006

For the first time in AGO convention history we are very pleased to announce that, in addition to registering with the standard paper forms from your TAO magazine, ChicAGO 2006 is offering full online registration and payment by VISA or MasterCard! We hope this will be a great time-saver and convenience to our friends and colleagues. We are also for the first time offering a one-step registration process that will allow you to signup, pay, and choose your schedule options all at the same time! To use our fast and convenient online registration, see below.

The registration form and process contains many options for which you must make a choice. Descriptions for the events can be found with the link in the “Convention Events” section below. A complete listing of workshops is also available by clicking on the WORKSHOPS AND WORSHIP tab to the left. Additionally, many descriptions are available on the online registration form simply by clicking on the title of an event. Please read this entire page carefully to help make your registration as easy as possible.

SOLD OUT! Don’t forget to sign up for the Navy Pier Independence Day Spectacular. This is the chance of a lifetime, as any Chicagoan will tell you. Literally millions of people flock to the lakeshore for the annual Independence Eve fireworks and music by the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. We are offering you the exclusive opportunity to enjoy all of this above the crowds in the comfort of the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom and deck with a buffet dinner and live entertainment while you take in the spectacular fireworks display directly in front of you. This is an event you will not want to miss and it is sure to sell out quickly!

Be sure to register soon to reserve your spot at the convention. In addition to your own registration, you have the ability to purchase additional tickets for your guests to attend some of the convention events where there is extra seating capacity. Please note that these tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and are limited in number. Tickets for additional daytime concerts may be available at the convention.

Transportation

Air-conditioned charter coach transportation is available Sunday noon through the closing concert on Thursday evening and is highly recommended. Many venues are outside of the city and are not reachable by public transportation and many churches in the city do not have parking lots. Street parking in the city of Chicago is virtually impossible to find and public parking is very expensive, not to mention the heavy traffic in the city and on the expressways. If you have a disability with special transportation needs, please state your need on the registration form and we will try our best to accommodate you. If you have any questions, please contact Doug Zimmer at agobus2006@aol.com.

Meals

A deluxe box lunch will be provided on the bus returning from the opening worship service and concert back to Chicago for the AGO Annual Meeting on Monday. Please state on the registration form if the vegetarian option is desired for this. All other meals during the convention will be on your own downtown Chicago or in downtown Evanston, if you choose that option on Wednesday afternoon.
