Registration

Important Dates

May 8  Completed final registration form must be received if you would like the program book sent to you (you must request this on the form).

June 15  Completed final registration form must be received if you would like to be included on the printed convention roster.

Registration Forms.  To register, use the forms in The American Organist magazine or click the PDF graphic above for a version you can view or print. Included is an information sheet on What You Need to Know about registering. Please read it before filling in the form; it will answer many of your questions. Sorry, but we do not have online registration, and we cannot take registration information by telephone. Do not fax your form to us, as we cannot enter your registration until we receive payment. Please read the form carefully and answer all questions.

Did You Pre-Register?  If so, you will need to complete your registration using the final form now available where you will select workshops and other choices, and make required reservations for some events.

Would You Like the Convention Program Book Sent to You?  On the final registration form you may request that the program book be sent to you in advance, but for this we must receive your completed form by May 8. (If you have already paid, your final form may be sent to us by fax.)

Daily or Partial Registration.  Because of seating capacities at certain venues, we are accepting daily registrations only for certain days of the convention week. See the News & Updates page for details.

Bring Family and Friends.  We encourage you to bring your family members or other traveling companions to Los Angeles even if they will not be registered for the convention. On the final registration form (now available) you are be able to purchase guest tickets and transportation for them to attend certain convention events. In addition, the convention schedule provides for a free afternoon on Thursday, July 8, when you might like to plan an outing or other activity with your guests. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will have a desk at the convention hotel to provide assistance. Note that The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites will let children 18 and under stay free when staying with an adult.

The list of available guest tickets includes the following:

  • Hollywood Bowl Fourth-of-July Concert and Fireworks (and optional gourmet picnic supper) (Sunday evening, July 4)
  • Martin Jean recital and Massed Choirs conducted by Paul Salamunovich at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels (Monday evening, July 5)
  • Gala Convention Banquet at the hotel, with celebrity entertainment (Wednesday evening, July 7)
  • Festive Reception in the Rooftop Gardens of the hotel (Thursday evening, July 8)
  • Several other events

Unfortunately we do not have extra seats available for the organ and orchestra concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Hotel and Airline Reservations. Please remember to make your hotel and airline reservations early. Special convention room rates and airfares are available. Click on Hotel & Airline at left.

Transportation Package.  While the transportation package is listed as optional, you should realize that it is an absolute necessity for this convention. Some of our venues are at a great distance from the hotel, outside of Los Angeles proper, and such public transit as exists will not allow you to keep up with the convention schedule. As for driving, parking can be costly or unavailable, and we will not be providing driving directions. We will have comfortable, air-conditioned charter coaches with plush seats, and restrooms on board. Leave the driving to us!

Registrar.  The convention registrar may be contacted as follows. Please include your e-mail address if you have one, so we can reply be e-mail where possible.
